UPDATE AT 7:48 P.M. EASTERN: 27-year-old David Ramos Contreras was arrested in Lubbock, Texas, according to CNN. He was found hiding under a bed.
A national manhunt is underway for three illegal aliens accused of kidnapping and raping two sisters, aged 13 and 14. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating them as quickly as possible.
According to CNN, the Bowling Green Police Division in Ohio says four men are suspected of holding the girls against their will and assaulting them at a local Days Inn motel before releasing them.
One suspect, 24-year-old Simon Juan Thomas of Guatemala was arrested by police on June 29. The other three are still on the loose. All four have been living in the U.S. illegally, authorities say.
Law enforcement officers, including ICE agents, are searching the nation for 27-year-old David Ramos Contreras of Mexico, 19-year-old Juan Garcia Rios Adiel, and Arnulfo Ramos, according to a Bowling Green Police press release. They may not be traveling together.
Contreras was spotted by a security camera at a Walmart in Holland, Ohio on Saturday, less than 20 miles north of Bowling Green and just west of Toledo. Two women were seen with him in the footage, but they have been questioned and are not considered suspects.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of these three men, call 1-800-54-CRIME. Police are offering up to $1,000 for information leading to their arrest.
All this comes at a time when the Trump administration is emphasizing the need for border security to keep bad guys out of the U.S. while liberals are pushing for weaker — or non-existent — borders and the abolishment of ICE.
On Thursday, Trump addressed border security again on Twitter, writing, “Congress must pass smart, fast and reasonable Immigration Laws now. Law Enforcement at the Border is doing a great job, but the laws they are forced to work with are insane.”
“When people, with or without children, enter our Country, they must be told to leave without our Country being forced to endure a long and costly trial,” he continued. “Tell the people ‘OUT,’ and they must leave, just as they would if they were standing on your front lawn. Hiring thousands of ‘judges’ does not work and is not acceptable — only Country in the World that does this!”
