Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) made an absolute fool out of herself during a Tuesday hearing involving Wells Fargo CEO Timothy Sloan.
In a surprise twist, Ocasio-Cortez suggested the bank was somehow involved in the “caging of children” during the border crisis.
"Why was the bank involved in the caging of children and financing the caging of children to begin with?” the socialist lawmakers asked confidently.
"I don't know how to answer that question because we weren’t,” Sloan responded.
Clearly flustered, AOC struggled to form her next statement.
“Uh, so when finance, you were financing and involved in debt financing of CoreCivic and Geo Group, correct?”
“For a period of time, we were involved in financing one of the firms, we’re not anymore,” Sloan said.
He added: “I’m not familiar with the specific assertion that you’re making, but we weren’t directly involved in that.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on to claim the companies she named run “private detention centers” operated by ICE.
“But I’ll move on,” she concluded, likely understanding that she was getting nowhere.
That was humiliating to even watch. Remember, AOC is a member of U.S. Congress.
