Independent U.S. Senate candidate Shiva Ayyadurai is running a very interesting campaign.
To say the least.
Born in India, the former Republican calls himself a “real Indian” in his battle to unseat Democrat Incumbent Elizabeth Warren, who he refers to as a “fake Indian.” The blonde-haired, blue-eyed Warren has touted her heritage as a Native American in the past. She even listed herself as a minority, which helped her get a job as a Harvard professor, according to CNN.
The problem is, she has never presented evidence to show that she has a significant — or any — amount of Native American DNA in her blood. It’s led to many people, including President Trump, to mockingly refer to her as “Pocahontas.”
Some even call her “Fauxcahontas.”
Ayyadurai has tapped into that vein and exposed the left’s hypocrisy. He was especially vocal about it as he spoke through a bullhorn to a crowd of Warren supporters across the street waiting for her to speak Sunday in Great Barrington, Mass.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, Ayyadurai accused a bellowing Warren supporter of being a racist. 74-year-old Paul Solovay took offense and quite clearly shoved the Indian candidate’s megaphone into his face, busting his lip.
It was all caught on camera:
The video gained national attention after Ayyadurai posted it on his Facebook page. Solovay pled not guilty to assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
“That’s racism right there!" Ayyadurai yelled through his megaphone at Warren’s supporters as Solovay was handcuffed and led away by police.
“Violent left! Violent liberals!” one of the Independent candidate’s supporters shouted.
