Watch Live: Trump Hosts ‘Salute to America’ for Independence Day in D.C.

The “Salute to America” Independence Day event is taking place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. The patriotic event will include a military flyover and a massive fireworks display, according to Fox News.

The main “Salute to America” event at the Lincoln Memorial is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, but the day’s events first got started with an early afternoon “National Independence Day Parade,” according to the U.S. Department of the Interior, which manages the National Mall.

After the “Salute to America” military demonstrations, a “Capitol Fourth Concert” is scheduled for the West Lawn of the U.S. Capital, hosted by John Stamos at 8 p.m. The evening will end with the fireworks display over the National Mall just after 9 p.m.

Earlier in the day, an anti-American group called the Revolution Club burned a flag outside the White House. They were also filmed chanting, “Fighting for a world without America!”

As the Revolution Club stopped to shout out more propaganda, they were drowned out by a much larger crowd chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!”
