The Kansas City Chiefs running back who was caught on video brutalizing a woman previously refused to stand for the national anthem in protest of alleged police brutality.
The Chiefs cut Kareem Hunt from the team almost immediately after a horrifying video emerged showing the player pushing and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel.
Watch the disturbing video via TMZ Sports:
“The NFL’s investigation, which began immediately following the incident in February, will include a review of the new information that was made public today,” the NFL said in a statement.
“The footage is eerily reminiscent of the shocking Ray Rice video from 2014, when the former Ravens running back was seen punching his then-fiancée in the face in an Atlantic City hotel elevator,” the New York Post reported.
The report added: “The NFL initially suspended Rice for two games, but when the video surfaced — also on TMZ — and the outcry was deafening, the Ravens released him and Rice was suspended for the full season. He has not played in the NFL since.”
Hunt previously sat on the bench in protest during the national anthem.
Plenty of people saw the tragic irony in the display.
Should Hunt ever be allowed to play in the NFL again?
