Watch: President Trump Praises Sarah Sanders, Says She’s ‘Done A Fantastic Job’

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been going head-to-head with some of the most antagonistic, anti-President Trump reporters in the press corps. As they’ve ramped up their attacks, she’s let them know that their rude interruptions and incredibly biased questions have worn her patience with them thin.

Perhaps because of that, a rumor has been circulated by CBS about her stepping down as Trump’s spokeswoman. Sanders replied by saying that the claim surprised her as much as anyone.

“I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS,” she announced on Twitter.

Trump was asked about it during a “Fox & Friends” interview on Friday.

“[Sanders] took a lot of heat yesterday from the people behind you,” host Steve Doocy said to him, indicating a group of reporters standing outside the White House.

“She did? I didn’t know that,” Trump replied.

“Well, she did. There was some suggestion that she’d be leaving the White House,” Doocy said.

“I don’t think so,” the president responded. “At a certain point, everyone sort of leaves. You have to leave. I’m sort of just staying like a ship, going bing-bing, but Sarah loves this job.”

Calling the CBS report about Sanders leaving “fake news,” Trump added, “At some point, I’m sure she’ll leave. Everybody leaves, and we’ll get someone else. But Sarah’s done a fantastic job. No, I don’t think she’s leaving. In fact, she was very insulted that they came out and said that.”

“What do you make of the back-and-forth between her and the press?” Doocy asked. “Because sometimes it gets loud.”

“I think the press treats Sarah very unfairly,” the president defended her.

“But I think some of them feel she’s not answering their questions, so they’re going to ask it again,” the Fox host said.

“I think Sarah is really a good person and a nice person and very capable. She’s got a lot of her father’s genes because her father is great,” Trump replied, referring to Sanders’ dad, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. “Mike is a very talented guy, and Sarah is a very talented person, but they treat her badly.”

On Thursday, Sanders took a hilarious jab at CNN correspondent Jim Acosta after he kept interrupting her and brilliantly turned his attack on Trump into an attack on Democrats.
