Patriotism and an appreciation for how great of a country America is are often not something you see expressed by mainstream media journalists, but Fox Business host Trish Regan broke the mold this week with her stunning rendition of our national anthem, played on air.
“Some of you may know I studied classical music — opera, actually — before I ever started history or economics,” Regan revealed earlier this week. “And I grew up in a pretty patriotic place, so I used to sing the national anthem quite a bit.”
“And every time I hear it, I feel very humbled, and I feel extremely lucky to have been born in this great country,” the Fox Business host continued.
“I know we have our differences right now — we’ve always had — but let us never forget the tremendous sacrifice that so many have given to ensure that we have the freedom to voice all those differences,” Regan said.
“As I said, I sang the national anthem a whole lot when I was a singer, but my three children had never heard me sing it,” she explained. “So I made this recording for them, and I made it for you.”
