Multiple wildfires are burning their way across the hills and mountains around Los Angeles, incinerating mansions and putting celebrities’ multi-million dollar properties in danger. A famous Hollywood set used for numerous movies and TV series over the decades is a total loss.
According to TMZ, flames have been reported on the property of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West’s estate. Few details are available. Their family and their security team have evacuated, along with other members of the extended family living in the area. TMZ later reported that the fire was contained before it could burn down their home.
One of the blazes, the Woolsey Fire, has already forced the evacuation of 200,000 people, including the entire population of the ritzy seaside city of Malibu. Many images show high-priced real estate up in flames.
Numerous Hollywood figures have been evacuated, and some have already lost their homes.
Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner’s house was thought to be destroyed, but TMZ later correctly their reporting to show that it had been barely saved.
Also destroyed is a famous Hollywood set purchased by Paramount in 1927 and used for many films and TV series, especially Wild West scenes. According to ABC 7, the Western Town at Paramount Ranch, which sits in a valley of the Santa Monica Mountains, has burned.
The set has been used for productions like “M*A*S*H,” “Westworld,” “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” “The Lake House,” and “the Cisco Kid.”
Images from the fires show how closely they were burning to large neighborhoods. Thousands of people have been fighting traffic jams to get away from the flames while others desperately try to save their animals.
Another fire is also burning near Thousand Oaks, the site of a deadly country music bar shooting on Wednesday that took the lives of a dozen people. Shell-shocked residents have been forced to flee a new threat.
Please pray for the safety of those evacuating and those fighting the fires!
